This year’s charity raffle for the St Ives Food and Wine Festival is loaded with prizes donated by our generous sponsors and contributors. There are no less than 10 great prizes ranging from taking a holiday, to a free shopping spree, eating at gourmet restaurants and stocking your wine cellar – and more. Here’s a quick run-through of the prizes:

Starting with the top prize – how about this? $1,000 towards your next holiday from Helloworld Travel in St Ives. Holidays are special times and not cheap, so this generous gift from Helloworld is going to get you a long way.

Second prize is $500 worth of vouchers to be spent at St Ives shopping centre. There are so many ways you could spend your money in the centre, from groceries to clothes to homeware, gifts and books.

Our third prize is a round of golf for four people from Pymble Golf Course valued at $320. Carts are included which means you and your friends can enjoy this beautiful parkland course at your leisure!

Do you like a glass of Merlot? Well with our next prize you could win 12 bottles of this fine wine from Ballimore Estate, valued at $270.

And staying with wine, the 5th prize is 6 bottles of a very fine red wine called “The Steading” from Torbrek all the way from the Barossa Valley. This special half dozen is valued at $230.

The next prize is another half dozen fine wines from Curly Flat in Victoria. For this prize you will win a mix of 3 Pinot Noirs and 3 Chardonnays valued at $195

The next three prizes are all gourmet experiences from a couple of the North Shore’s finest restaurants. 7th prize is a $150 voucher for Café Lyon in Lindfield and the 8th prize will get you $150 worth of fine dining just down the road at Roseville at Saveur Restaurant. Saveur has also gifted the 9th prize too – another $100 voucher to be spent at their restaurant. Finally a gift voucher from Bunnings worth $100 concludes the prize draw as our 10th prize.

So grab your tickets now for a chance to win one of these great gifts. There are 6 choices for buying tickets from $2 for 1 ticket to $100 for 60 and they can be bought online here: Tickets are on sale now to anyone over 18 and the prizes will be drawn at the St Ives Food and Wine Festival at 3pm on September 9th

As mentioned it’s a charity raffle, so where will your raffle ticket money go exactly? The major beneficiary for funds is the charity “Room to Read” which works to transform the lives of millions of children in low-income countries by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education.

They work in collaboration with local communities, partner organizations and governments, to develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children. In particular they support girls to complete secondary school with the relevant life skills to succeed in school and beyond.

Room to Read invests in roughly 1 million children a year and aims to help a cumulative total of 15 million children by 2020. So you can be confident your raffle ticket money is going to a very good cause. Check out their website for more information here
